About This Spot

Pulling off the highway near Winona, Pink Flamingos greets visitors with an inviting splash of color and a laid-back roadside charm. This is not a place to rush through; it’s a casual local eatery where the vibrant décor and the playful flamingo theme set a friendly, relaxed tone before you even step inside. Whether you choose a shaded spot on the patio—perfect for bringing along your dog—or a seat inside among the lively yet cozy surroundings, the pace here encourages lingering over good food and genuine moments.

The hum of passing traffic blends with warm exchanges between servers and guests, creating an unpretentious backdrop that feels both familiar and fresh. Behind the scenes, the kitchen focuses on simple, authentic flavors crafted with care—from the fresh, house-made sauces to the bright and refreshing aguas frescas that perfectly balance the savory dishes. The menu reads like a love letter to Mexican street food, offering plenty of room to explore comfort in every bite, whether you’re savoring street tacos, hearty burritos, or a generous portion of carne asada with nopales.

What stands out is how Pink Flamingos turns a typical roadside stop into a personal discovery—a place where details matter: the freshness of the ingredients, the vibrant atmosphere, and the easy kindness of the people behind the counter. It’s a moment to slow down, enjoy simple pleasures, and share a meal made to be remembered long after you’ve rolled back onto the highway.

We had delicious tacos and a refreshing cucumber lemon drink. The restaurant was colorful with a flamingo theme. We sat outside on the shaded patio with our dog. The server was kind and the food yummy!

This may be the best burrito I ever tasted no lie. Its big enough to enough to feed 2! If i'm ever in the area again, this is definitely where i'm stopping!

What a cute little roadside taco joint! Sure, it's a little out of the way from the main area of Tyler. But, it's worth the short drive up the highway. The food is fresh, and all is made in-house. No sauce from jars. The agua frescas are refreshing and also made on site. The colours are vibrant, and there are seats inside as well as on the patio. It takes a few minutes to get your order, again because everything is made fresh to order. If you are willing to take a drive, please support local and get some fresh Mex from this place!

Stopped for tacos at this roadside dinner and had the best tacos & burrito! It’s a bit noisy due to traffic, but friendly staff and great food are worth a little noise.

Cute little place with fantastic food! We went later in the day and they had been cleaned out of all meat except steak fajita, but I got a Quesadilla & my husband got the Big Daddy Burrito and we were both very satisfied with our huge meals! Guy who helped us was very friendly
